The Lastborn Humanity and Development Foundation (LHDF)

Lastborn Foundation as it is also known is a Non-Governmental, Non-Religious, and Non-Profit Organization founded in 2002 by a man with milk of human kindness flowing in his veins. The Organization was duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in July 2009 and National Planning Commission as a local NGO in June 2012. Our thematic areas are in HIV/AIDS education, education as a lifelong process, environmental sustainability, Widows, Orphans and other vulnerable groups.

LHDF Programs:

We are relatively new, but have been able to make some impact in our immediate community with the implementation of the following programs:

  • Organized grass awareness campaign against HIV/AIDS for youths in Ikwo LGA of Ebonyi State and FCT, Abuja and have since been following them up.
  • Providing linkage regularly to people infected and living with HIV/AIDS to be registered to access Anti-Retroviral drugs regularly.
  • Donation of food items, clothes, and cash to widows, Orphanages and Other Vulnerable Groups in Ebonyi State and FCT, Abuja consistently since 2010.
  • Providing bursary and scholarship awards to indigent students in Ikwo LGA, encouraging them to aspire to get to the peak of their careers.
  • Currently raising funds to build a library for the local people in Ikwo LGA who have no access to resource materials, in partnership with our foreign   partners.
  • Construction of world class health centers in Urban, Rural and local communities in some parts of Nigeria, in partnership with our foreign   partners. (On-Going Project)
  • Coming by ending of 2015/2016; Construction of 2 Bedroom Bungalow for selected Widows   across the state.

Lastborn Humanity and development foundation is also a member of Partnership for Evaluation of Cancer in Africa, PECA.
